I received an IV line early this morning from the hospital. I was having seizure like symptoms (not officially diagnosed) anyways the paramedic in the ambulance started the line in my left wrist (right at the bend)it's been 24 hours I've put ice on it but the vein is still very swollen and sore but no bruising. The vein was use to draw multiple blood cultures as well as receive fluid and 2 saline flushes. I also have a coagulation disorder which causes my blood to be thick and clot very quickly. I'm sure the vein is blown but I'm kind of worried. How do know if it's just a blown vein or if a blood clot has developed
