I recently experienced a significant drop in blood sodium levels, down to 90. The Desmopressin 0.2 mg. twice daily was thought to be the culprit and discontinued. I took this dosage of Desmopressin for three years previously with no adverse effects and very good urge incontinence control attributed to neurogenic bladder.
No other medication works well for my incontinence issues. Nerve interruption is due to spinal stenosis and four complicated spinal surgeries resulted in fusion from T-3 to iliac fusion with 8 rods, lots of bone morphogenic protein and many screws, 6" bolts to pelvis ( one broken) and 3 cages to stabilize breaks in my spine from lack of fusion. I currently take, percoset 10/325, method one 10 mg. both as needed, sulfasalezene 1500 mg., meloxicam 25 mg.,Xeljanz 10 mg. alternate days with 20 mg., bupropion 300 mg., Toviaz 8 mg.(useless), folic acid, carvidilol, vitamins C&D, Pepcid complete. I have an as yet undiagnosed inflammatory arthritis that is destroying all major joints along with tendon and ligament ruptures. Johns Hopkins rheumatology dept. is stumped- they have not encountered an auto-immune disease this destructive in a relatively short time and resistant to remission or even slowing down. I have exhausted all available biologics
And treatment protocols. Meanwhile, my life is miserable due to extremely overactive bladder. Any thoughts ??
