I Recently Had A Genital Outbreak, And Was Tested More

I recently had a genital outbreak, and was tested more herpes. My test came back positive for hsv1 and negative for hsv2. Most of what I have read told me that hsv1 is generally oral while hsv2 is generally genital, but they both can affect different parts. My question is, is genital hsv1 less likely to be spread to my partner genitally? Can I still receive oral sex? Some people have said that hsv1 sheds less making is less likely to be transmitted and less likely to have a reoccurrence, and some say after the first year they question if it is even necessary to disclose this information with a new partner. I feel I should still disclose the information but I want to be educated on what I would tell a future partner about the risks involved.
