I recently started having an ear ache. This started about 24 hours after I had my teeth cleaned. i've had a total hip replacement, so I have to take a large dose (800 mg) of antibiotic just before my appt. I don't know i this is connected to the ear ache - but I also have been in airplanes 6 times in the past 2 weeks - and my ears hurt during take-off/landing unless I plug my nose and blow out a little bit to relieve the pressure (or chew gum and yawn).

I tried treating the ear ache with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide, and a hot pad on my ear. That helped for a day, but the ear ache is back. Any ideas?
