Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I saw my GP 3 months ago after I was bleeding after sex. She told me I had a polyp and she referred me to have it removed. I went for this procedure on Wednesday and he told me that it wasn't a polyp and he was going to refer me for a colposcopy. He said that he didn't think it was anything to worry about, that it didn't bleed when he touched it. But he was very non comittal and he told me to research cervical ectopy, when I asked him what I should research on the internet. Would he be able to identify from visual examination if it was cervical ectopy or something more concerning?
