I Smoke Marijuana And Recently Am Over Paranoid

i smoke marijuana occasionally, and im not sure if im just being overly paranoid or if there is something to worry about. after i smoke pot, my heart beets extreamly fast, and my chest hurts a little. i have a strong family history of heart disease , my father has had 2 heart attacks by age of 50. i have a heart murrmer which i have had since i was born, and have been told it proberably isnt that sever, but it was never tested. i smoked pot for years without having any problems, and quit for a month, i love weed and would like to continue smoking an occasional user, but after i smoke it, the paranoia of my heart bothers me. i dont want to quit, because i like the high, and the stress relief it brings, and allows me to sleep and eat, i know that smoking weed increases your chance of heart attack by 4 times within the first hour, but that doesnt seem to bother me enough to stop. does anyone have a similar condition who can give me some advice on how to calm my nerves , thanks

Stop smoking pot and that should relieve the paranoia. Marijuana usually slows the heartbeat and lowers the blood pressure. But you end up being extremely sensitive to what your body is doing. There is a good possibility that your heart murmur is progressing or getting worse. There is also a chance that you are developing heart disease. go to the doctors and get an ECG. Don't blame the pot for making you paranoid. Considering your family history and your own heart health there is probably something truly wrong. I smoked pot for years when I was a teenager. I was hospitalized for drug induced psychosis. Even after I quit, I was still hypersensitive to what was going on in my body. I had "trips" about specific things going on in my body and sure enough, now 10 years later the diagnostic tests are saying I wasn't paranoid. Some people are just very in tuned to their bodies.
