I Sometimes (several Times A Week) Clean My Ears Of

I sometimes (several times a week) clean my ears of excess wax by a gentle swab with a clean q'tip. In over 30 years of doing this I've never run into a problem or impacted my ears with wax. Several days a go, I noticed a slight soreness as I withdrew the Q'tip from my right ear and a spot of blood on the Q'tip. It felt like there might have been a small abrasion in my ear canal b some impurity on the Q'tip. I moistened a new Q'tip to dab any excess blood and then put a few drops of ear drier in to help dry and disinfect the area. I felt a burning sensation in the area I perceived as have been abraded. The next morning the entrance felt gritty and a Q'tip showed small bits of dried blood. The condition seem to have remained for two days with no significant discomfort except an occasional sense of fullness in the canal. Will an urgent care visit or an appointment with my ENT be best?
