I Started My Period On August 17th. And It Ended

I started my period on august 17th. And it ended in august 24th. Today (5days after it ended) I had some brown discharge (this was about 11 hours ago). And this is gonna sound really weird but when I was in the shower (11 hours later) I stuck my finger up there and when I pulled my finger out there was a lot of blood and discharge and it smells terrible. Is this normal to have this much discharge so close to my past period?
