I Started Taking Levothyroxine About 2 Months Ago. My Diagnosis

I started taking levothyroxine about 2 months ago. My diagnosis of an underactive thyroid was only on paper. I have/had always been thin and extremely active. Since starting levothyroxine, my once thick hair has been falling out so much so that I feel as if I continue this way, I will soon be bald. I can see my scalp whereas prior to therapy I had never ever seen my scalp under my hair. Will this hair loss stop? Will my hair start to grow back again? My doctor said I need the therapy to prevent possible future cardiac disease, however cholesterol levels were not assessed prior to therapy.
