I think I have been exposed to herpes BUT I do not have any symptoms other than an irritated vagina.
went to the OB Dr no sign of herpes - Blood work show symplex 1 which is associated with chicken pox/cold sores - never had cold sores But I believe I have had chicken pox. My exposure was two weeks ago. After having unprotected sex with an unknown partner - I had redness like a yeast infection but never of the other common side affects. Just wondering if the blood work which was a herpes simplex IGG 1/2 show antibodies from two weeks ago - do I need to retest in a few months. two weeks later I still have redness in the vagina area - I have tried to treat with over the counter yeast rememdies and I also have been prescribed Fluconazole. then after seeing the OB Dr it was determined that yeast was not present now I am presecrivbed Clobetasol 0.05 ointment to help with the redness.
