Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took my 9 year old boy to quickcare on Wednesday. He had vomiting and diarrhea the evening before, which is not unusual for him. He has an esophageal inlet patch that secrets acid when he gets nasal drip, or cold like symptoms. He had a low grade fever and was complaining of a sore throat when the quickcare doctor saw him. He looked in his nose throat and ears and stated he could return to school Thursday. During the night on Wednesday his temperature spiked to 104. I gave him Gatorade, ibuprofen and placed cool washrags across his head and neck to bring down the temperature. He ran a temperature through Thursday but has been complaining of a severe headache ever since. I don't know what to do. His temperature is normal but the severe headache persists and he is sleeping now.
