I Underwent A Nuclear Medicine Octreotide Scan 7 Years Ago

I underwent a nuclear medicine Octreotide scan 7 years ago which was read as negative. Images were obtained only after 4 hours post injection. There were no 24 or 48 hr images taken. Now I am having carcinoid syndrome symptoms (flushing on neck, chest; diarrhea; sob; palpitations). I want to know what the differences are in the 4 hr and 24 hr imaging and if this could have caused an inaccurate diagnosis and a mid-gut carcinoid missed.

Thank you for your advice,

Guy
