Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I used to be on morphine sulfate 60 mg twice a day with Percocet as needed for breakthrough pain (1 or 2 every 4 to 6 hours as necessary. I had to change to a different pain management doctor and he took me off of both medications named above and put me on Xtampza 18 mg twice a day and nothing for breakthrough pain. Unfortunately it does not last long enough nor does it control my pain. I have asked him if there is anything else (also because of the price) and he says that there is nothing else. I am curious if there s something else that I could ask him about. My pain is from 4 spinal surgeries, fibromyalgia arthritis and I have a knee that is bone against bone. I appreciate you taking the time to look at and answer my questions.
