I am a novelist and need to know how long a double bypass surgery would take and would the patient be in serious condition after the surgery?

The time of the surgery depends on the expertise of the surgeon. Normally it will take about 4 hours.
If the peri op period has gone well then patient recovers very well post op.
Normally two Cardio thoracic surgeons do the surgery not just 1
