I was am 62 yrs old female. After suffering all my life with what was thought to be bladder infections and postponing the problems with pain killers and antibotics, I ended up in Midland Hosp. septic. After 3 cat scans, hosp. stay of 8 days, currently on ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily, tobramycin 320m by iv every 24hrs and 1 oxycoden every 4 hrs for pain. I am terrified of this happening again. I have seen 2 urologists that have said they would like to do further tests in hospital but I need an operation that they would not and have never performed.I think I should go to a specialist that deals with this. I have heard 3 different things. I have a 3rd small kidney, my left kidney is irregular in shape and size, my left kidney has an extra portion on the top. They would like to figure out where the duplicate uretha is draining possibly into the vigina. I just do not want more tests if I am going to be sent to another specialist to take over my problem, just send me to the Hospital. Oh and also my own Family Doctor is on an family medical emergancy ( which I am simpathetic ).
