I Was Bitten By A Cat 2 Weeks Ago. Allergic

I was bitten by a cat 2 weeks ago. Allergic to penicillin and ZPack. Doctor gave me other pills to take (6 a day for a week) A week after completion I have broken out in Hives. No idea why. Not even sure if it is related. The cat bite is still swollen. It was a deep bite and many scratches. The cat has never had any shots. I am assuming it is related since nothing new has been added to my lifestyle. Should I have concern beyond taking benedryl to ease the itch?
