I Was Born With A Pancreatic Deformity Called Pancreas Divisum.

I was born with a pancreatic deformity called pancreas divisum. Since December 1st I've been fighting a flare up of pancreatitis. On Friday I had a CT scan that showed an enlargement of my common bile duct and liver as well as the surrounding ducts from the liver and pancreas. My white blood count is normal, my lipase is elevated to over 1700, my amalyse is normal, I am anemic and dehydrated and I am having severe pain on the left side of my abdomen down to my pelvic region ( unusual for me since my normal pain is where my ribs meet in the center of my chest to the right side and around my back to almost my spine). I've had over 17 stent placements in my lifetime and too many ERCPs to count. The stents have never worked and most became dislodged within 48-72 hours of placement. I'm trying to determine the best course of action for me to go at this time and am asking if there is anything that has come along recently that may be of use to me. FYI, two years ago, my gastroenterologist told me that my pancreas was no longer working and that it was recommended that I manage the pain and learn to live with it. I am no longer a candidate for a transplant since I was diagnosed with a aortic aneurism almost three years ago and the transplant team will not allow me to be considered. Any suggestions???
