I Was Diagnosed With Colitis A Few Years Ago When

I was diagnosed with Colitis a few years ago when I had my baby 3 months early. I have never had a colonoscopy, however I did have a flex scope. After the birth of my child (3 months later), I became extremely sick. I had frequent bowel movements that contained mucus and blood. I was sent home 3 times from the ER with no treatment as no one could say what was wrong with me. Then I stopped eating and went orangey/yellow colored. They admitted me and could not determine what was wrong, the lab work was inconclusive. The CT scan showed my colon was badly damaged and they were going to remove it. A GI doctor stepped in and put me on steroids, which I responded to. I have started to show symptoms of this same issue happening and it is getting worse everyday. I went to the ER and the CT scan showed my colon is not in colitis flare up. I am in pain and cannot eat well. I have been suspecting that I may have had a parasite all this time. Any suggestions or advice?
