I Was Diagnosed With IIH In 2008 And I Feel

I was diagnosed with IIH in 2008 and I feel like I was misdiagnosed. I have swollen optic nerves and a opening pressure of 44. I am over weight but I lost 50 pounds and no improvement. The reason I feel like I have been misdiagnosed is I never get headaches! Like ever. The way they found out I have a problem was through an eye exam. I had pressure behind my eyes. Turns out it was edemas. I also have the rushing heart beat noise in my ear as well. So all the indications point to this but my question for you is.... Could it be something else? Like a thyroid issue? Thyroid problems are dominate in the ladies in my family. And mine is borderline and has been since 2008. But they won't treat it until levels are abnormal In my blood work but everyone I know of says you can have thyroid issues way before it shows in your blood. I don't like not knowing what's wrong with me and I am not like any of the IIH people I know. I am a CNA a mother and wife. I function hard daily with no restrictions. I don't get it. Help!?
