Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with RA December of 2013. I have been on several medications that have not worked. I have changed doctors as the first doctor put me on a medication vacation and I flared pretty bad. Anyway, I am on injectable methotrexate weekly and simponi once monthly. I am nauseated all the time, have days of vomiting and diarrhea. I have absolutely no appetite, even the smell of food makes me ill. I am so tired and can barely get through a day of work. I am a nurse and am on my feet all day and I am just so tired by the end of the day. Should I be check for other issues and not just focus it all on the RA or medications? I am also receiving injections in my right knee to save what cartilage I have left. I am very concerned there may be other things going on and I am scared. I am also a caregiver to my husband who has suffered a TBI and has the mental capacity of a 12 year old...................ughhhh.........any advice would be so welcomed! Thank you, Kathy Haynes
