I Was Diagnosed With Staphylococcus Aureus Bacteria Two Days After

I was diagnosed with Staphylococcus Aureus Bacteria two days after a trigger finger repair. I was not put on Clindamycin HCL 300 MG Capsule and Sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim DS 800-160 MG until 10 after the culture was confirmed. On April 29th I had to have the finger amputated. According to some medical periodicals suggested I should have been placed in a hospital and be given antibiotics via I.V. for a period of days. Can you tell me if the latter would have given me a better chance of saving my finger. Respectfully, Denny from Pennsylvania
