I was diagnosed with a swollen ear drum just under a week ago from snorkling 3 meters under water. 7 years ago i had a scuba accident and after multiple doctors and testing they discovered I had 14% damage to my right ear through a damaged never. I delt with severe vertigo for a least 6 months (no medication worked) and spebt many years getting over the anxiety of setting it iff again. I have had severe episodic vertigo with the bulging ear drum. The doctor prescribed me medication which has kept the attacks at bay but I am very off balance still. I also got a head cold the other days and have been using nasal spray and decongestants to help. I am currently on a group tour through central america. We are gping to 1500m altitude aoon by bus and in 8 weeks i will need to fly I am petrified of doing more permanent damage...what are the chances of this?
