I Was Disgnosed With HSV2 A Month Ago !!! It

I was disgnosed with HSV2 a month ago !!! It has been a terrible first outbreak! I have severe numbness in my vaginal area , buttocks, down the backs of my legs and my feet !!! I've been on Acyclovir since Dec 7th 800 mg 3x daily !!! The numbness is not improving at all !!!! Is this normal with HSV 2 ????
