Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was having a kidney stone problem. I had day surgery to remove the stone and the doctor put a stent in to help the stone pass. Later I had an appointment to have the stent removed; however, it was left in. The Dr. said he removed the stone, but left the stent in because he thought there might be some swelling around the kidney. How did they remove the stone? I still have considerable discomfort when I get the urge to urinate and can't get to the washroom fast enough and a little irritation at the end of the urination. If I wait and then go, I pass blood with my urine. Do I have some type of urinary infection? Hopefully I will have the stent out this weekend as it has been nearly 4 weeks.
