I Was In A Car Accident In June And Had

I was in a car accident in June and had a tibial fracture that has healed according to X-rays. My knee is still hurting. I have been subscribed Malixicam, but am afraid to take it because it is a NASID and they have been shown to cause heart problems? I wish I could have a low dose of a narcotic. Is that possibles? I am scheduled for knee replacement surgery in October.
