I was just diagnosed with Schatzkee's ring in my esophagus. No Barretts, and no precancer, and no cancer cells. I don't know what to do. I seem to get heartburn while I'm sleeping even though I have my bed elevated and do not lay down for 3 hours. I've been craving milk but I've been avoiding it. I was diagnosed with Sjogren's years ago, but since tested positive. I still drink a lot of fluids. I've eliminated soda pop and coffee. I just want to avoid getting Barretts. I just don't know if I'm drinking to many fluids that's causing this. I'm wondering if I should eat fruit and vegetables between meals like I'm doing and stop drinking water between meals. I used to drink alkaline water at times. But now I'm afraid. I've even tried baking soda and water during the day or before bed. But at night, it seems to come back. Any suggestions? I'm trying to figure out whether my body is trying to produce more acid, or whether I have too much acid.
