I Was Just Informed By The Doctor At The Hospital

I was just informed by the doctor at the hospital that I have Klebsiella pneumoniae ESBL+ve cultivated (what does "+ve" mean?). Due of my history of recurrent UTIs and a have had K. ESBL once before, this time they gave me an oral treatment with Nitrofurantoin 4x10 days as for starter. If it would not work I would be put on an IV treatment, again. (Last time they gave me Ertapenem 1x7 which cleared the bacteria but not the symptoms). My questions are 1) how likely is it that the oral treatment will only make it worse? (hopefully for the better). On the sensitivity test says "I" (not "S" or "R"). 2) Since I got the superbug I always feel the pain of an UTI even though the tests are negative. Could this bug have created a chronic pain? 3) Will I have the infection for the rest of my life?
