I Was Prescribed Primolut N By A GP (not A

I was prescribed Primolut N by a GP (not a GP I regularly see) today to stop menstrual bleeding, as this was one of my main reasons for starting oral contraceptives. I also wanted protection from pregnancy. I have been on Levlan ED for almost a year now, but had still been bleeding but have also been sexually active. I assumed this pill Primolut N was in itself an oral contraceptive, however in reading the leaflet and it says it's not at all.
My concern is that I was prescribed this and the doctor didn't mention it to me at all.
I do however still have plenty of Levlan ED left, I was wondering if these two (Primolut and Levlan ED) can be used together? I want to stop the bleeding, but also want to be protected against pregnancy, will this work? Or will they interfere with each other.
