I Was Prescribed Clindamycin As An Antibiotic To Treat Possible

I was prescribed clindamycin as an antibiotic to treat possible infection from a foot tear between my 4th and 5th toes on my left foot. Within less than a day I developed a severe rash, in some places completely red. Another provider had proscribed a similar med but when I called the pharmacy they said my reaction to that would probably be similar. That second med started with the letter 'm' possibly followed by the letter 'i'. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me identify the 2nd med.
