I Was Told I Have A Hernia. I Need To

I was told i have a hernia. I need to be examined by a gastro doctor, but i have been having chest pains and my food seems to be sticking in my esophogus. I have a full feeling and lots of gas. Hard to release the gas. Do you think it is a hiatal hernia? How do they resolve this with surgery? Removal or repair?
