I went to my internist today. My ears became swollen last week and were red and itchy. I have been working outside mowing grass for about 2 months since my lawn man deserted me. I am female age 83, live alone. My internist looked in my ears and said I must be under stress....he prescribed something I never heard of during my R.N. work years. Escitalopram 5mg. I've read the numerous data sheets on the Rx I received on the way home. I don't like what I read. I am going to take the Rx with 30 tablets back to the doctors office tomorrow with a note that I am not going to take the prescribed med.
I don't think this is a med I want to take. Can you advise?
