Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I woke up in the middle of the night and I take 25 mg of atenolol to decrease blood pressure and handle pvc’s. I also take cloazepam .25 mg . I have been feeling some chest pain on left side and I was taking s different disintegrating clonazepam because mine ran out and my doctor couldn’t see me until tomorrow. My friend just happened to mention her mother wasn’t going to take her prescribed clonazepam and she was going to throw it away and I said I could use it because mine ran out and I was waiting to go to the doc. Anyway, was nervous to take it in disintegrating form ... just not big drug person. So awoke nervous that left chest is feeling pain and I can feel My heart beating so I did take the clonazepam. (I take one only every night)... felt nervous taking it. Ugh!
So then I remembered my doctor saying to try Prilosec to see if that’s what I’m having going on some too w reflux maybe. So thought I took Prilosec ... purple top... but took Allegra. So my blood pressure was up again right after I took the meds to 145/95 which is high for me now on atenolol. It’s been like 110/64 or 70. So I’m wondering if I’m going to have increased heart rate from the Allegra and just counteracted whole calming effect I was trying to have from clonazepam. What should I do?? It’s 24 hour medication. So mad at myself
