doc, i would like you breif me about emergency contraceptives and which one would be the right one to get for a 16 year old girl who is not completely sure that she is not pregnant. I havnt had sex as yet but precum might have touched my vagina. Which brand and type of "morning after pill" can i take to make sure that i am not pregnant??? -thanks

Hi.... Morning after pills are available commercially under various names... They essentially contain the same drug... All these drugs are effective in previnting the pregnancy only when you take them well under 72 hours following unprotected sexual intercourse.. So if it has passed 72 hours, then none of these drugs would be effective..
