Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
If a person has had kidney stones and has had them removed once in 2014 & 2015. He was just diagonesed again w/another kidney stone. This person has allegedly stated he was injured at work. He was taken to a physician and the doctor evaluated him; Dr. Performed some exercise on his left knee and leg. Prognoses strained leg. He can walk w/out pain, but he states that he is in a lot of pain wen setting. He states he needs to stand straight up and put all the pressure on his injured leg to relieve the pain. He is so addament that he need a prescription med to subside the pain. He also states that he has a tingeling sensation on the lower left side of his back, the same side of the injured leg. This individual stated he had bad pain on Monday and he reported the injury on Wednesday and was diagnosed w/ another kidney stone on Thursday and he wants the OCCMED physician to prescribe him a pain med for his all edge injury. His primary physician informed him that he would not prescribe him a pain med for his kidney stone for the reason that to much of that med that was prior prescribed to him could damage his liver. He was prescribed tramadol. I think he is masking the pain to use it as an excuse to treat that diagnosed kidney
