If There Is Low HCG Level Will It Show Positive In UPT?
Hi I have a question about pregnancy and home pregnancy tests? I am 8 days late and did a pregnancy test at 4 days late that came up negative, I then went to my doctor who said try again in a few days. Today at 8 days late I tested again and it was negative but still no period. Is it possible that my HCG levels are too low for the home tests? and would a blood test at the doctor be able to determine this early?
Urine pregnancy tests may be false negatives, result varies from person to person and sensitivity of the kit.
To confirm whether you are pregnant or not, is transvaginal ultrasound which is more accurate and best test to confirm the pregnancy by visualisation of gestational sac.
I would advise you to visit your doctor for transvaginal ultrasound and physical examination.
Meanwhile maintain good hygiene Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, egg and meat as week diary products like milk and milk products. Multivitamin supplement especially folic acid is advisable.
Hope I could answer your question please feel free to ask for further assistance I will be happy to help you. Best wishes
