Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm 30 years old and had polio at 4 years old on my left leg which causes to be thinner and shorter than the right leg about 3 inches. I can walk, run, swim and do other activities like a normal person. It just my left leg is weaker than the right. I had a brace for my left leg which helped my walking.. My question is that is it possible for surgery to cure my left leg? If so, what kind of surgeries and where? I am not looking for 100% cure. Just something to help my walking as normal as possible and possibility regrow muscles and nerves on my left leg. Thank you very much for reading.
