I'm a heavy guy. 5'10" 335 pounds. I developed what I believe to be a boil under my stomach. Right above where the belly crease is. Some refer to it as a fat roll. The boil became large and eventually the size of a golf ball and for several more inches the flesh around it turned hard. The pain was terrible. I didn't notice a white head on it like most pictures I see like pimples but I started using hot compresses to get it to drain. In a day or two it started draining a brownish/red fluid which smelled really bad. The draining stopped after 10 mins then would drain again a few hours later. Then again the next day. After that a lighter pinkish colored fluid would drain out. Now it's only a small discharge. I've been cleaning it. Using neosporin anti bacterial cream and also I've been on Amoxocillin. When I life my belly to look at it this morning the boil has sunk in and no longer bulging. The swelling around it has gotten better. BUt where the boil was it all dark red almost dark purple with two spots the size of dimes that look to be more of a normal fleshy color. I'm Caucasian. My question is this. Does this sound like it's healing or getting worse? Should I be worried and get to a DR asap or just wait it out and keep doing what I'm doing? It's only been about 8 or 9 days total. Thank you.
