I'm an adult but my mom wants to come with me to the gynecologist. She's very strict. I've been sexually active before but she doesn't know that. I've been to this gyno years ago but never did a Pap smear. I told them in confidence I was sexually active. Now I want to go to them to do solely a breast exam. My mom is worried because I have a fibroid that is growing on my breast. My question is - Can I only schedule a breast exam with the gyno? Especially since my mother will be there and I won't be comfortable? Will they tell my mom or mention my medical history when she's in the room with me?
