Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm from Ohio and I've myen going to a suboxone doctor here for about 2yrs. Starting 3/1/16 I won't have medicaid no more because I make to much money. I informed the doctor at my last appointment that I won't have insurance and he informed me that the self pay cost will be 900 a month. I'm not going back to him but I told him OK I will be back next month . I told him that so I could get my script for my subutex . if I would of said ya I'm not coming back at that price he would of sent me home with no subutex script and I would have freaked completely out.. I've been clean for the 2yrs I've been going to this doctor. Well I went home and called a bunch of different other doctors finally found one in Pennsylvania that will take me for 250 a month. So they scheduled me a appointment but the only problem is the doctor I have been going to gave me a 30 day script and the only time this new doctor in Pennsylvania can get me in is 18 days later. Will I get in trouble if I go to the new doctor and he gives me a script to when I will have 12 days left on my old Dr script? I don't wanna get in trouble I wanted to make the appointment cause I'm affraid I won't find a doctor and I will go without. I can't go without or my life and kids life will be ruined. Should I just go and not mention to them about my last script from Ohio ? Before I go I am gonna tell Ohio clinic I can't afford 900 a month and I found another doctor elsewhere.
