I'm getting ready to start radiotherapy for vocal cord cancer (I've had five lung cancers since 2010.) Aside from surgery aren't there other ways to treat the growth in my neck. I'm starting to get terrified with the amount of radiation I've had---including PET and CT scans, and a monsterous number of x-rays. Please don't blow me off and say my doctor knows best---doctors are like other people and can screw up diagnoses and treatment as easily as anyone----I've been treated by over 50 since 2004, with major mistakes, including using the internet to get opinions doctors avoid giving. I know what I'm doing on the computer and how to make decisions---I have two doctorates---one research-based.
