I'm On A Beta Blocker (Metoprolol ER 25mg Once Daily)

I'm on a beta blocker (Metoprolol ER 25mg once daily) for my overactive thyroid. My cardiologist has already cleared me to go to Cedar Point, but I am still, for whatever reason, second guessing the fact that I'll be alright after reading some stories of people being on beta blockers and riding roller coasters. Some people report not feeling right due to the adrenaline receptors being blocked and I've also read, and don't understand as the med is supposed to prevent this, that it can induce dangerously high BP due to the beta receptors being blocked and it constricting or dilating the blood vessels causing high BP. I have, from what my cardiologist understands, no pre-existing heart condition but am still weary about going due to my med. I have intercourse many times weekly and it will still escalate my heart rate and I'll feel perfectly normal. But those are two completely different avenues and I'm just stressing out that something will go wrong tomorrow. Any advice?
