I'm Recovering From A Lumber Disc Prolapse Causing Tingling In

I'm recovering from a lumber disc prolapse causing tingling in lower back, legs, and right foot. Over the last week I have also been getting tingling in my right shoulder, arm and fingers. Is this caused by the same disc or something else? Is it something I should be mentioning to my GP?
