The concentration of alcohol is more important than the amount. For example, beer usually contains only 4-8% alcohol, while hard drinks like whisky and rum contain 42% alcohol. Since you drink around 180 ml (one quarter), you are probably talking about hard drink and not beer.

Daily alcohol intake for long duration can cause various problems (both physical and psychological). Longer the duration, more severe the problems. Since you are only 26 years old, you have a long productive life ahead of you. Hence it is advisable to consider quitting alcohol intake or atleat reduce the frequency and dose. Any change should be under the supervision of a specialist as there might be some withdrawal problems initially.

General & Family Physician Dr. Mohammed Tauseef's  Response
Hi Amrajit, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
The alcohol intake should always be in moderation, if you drink beer it should be two drinks a day for males. Each drink is counted as 355ml. So, you have been taking in Moderation. Exercise regularly and Maintain a healthy Weight. If you smoke, QUIT.

Wish you Good Health.
