I'm trying to seek alternative treatment measures for AF that is between flecanide with metoprolol and ablation. It seems that to have a run of AF while in the doctor's office doesn't make for "failing" the drug treatment mode. Seems like there should be other options or steps to take instead of jumping right to ablation. Any new drug therapy out there? I also have diet controlled borderline diabetes (A1C of 6.1) and on xarelto also. Why would 1 drug not working constitute "failure"? Thank you.
