Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In 1996 gave blood and when I went back they told me I had Hep C I went to my own Doctor and He ran a Hep C panel and it came back positive. Well in 2014 I have a different Doctor and said that my liver profile looked so good that he wanted to run another Hep C panel and send it to a lab out of state and it came back negative but that I had some antibodies in my system. What does that mean to my liver? I have some elevated alt and some other test maybe ast not by much, I don't drink or smoke or do drugs except the one I am supposed to take. I am recovering from breast cancer and I don't know what to make of it.
