In October I Will Be Aged 80. I Have Been

In October I will be aged 80. I have been taken off Naproxen tablets because of my age . I suffer from osteo arthritis. I have trapped ciatic nerves in my back and have had a full knee replacement. I take Trimodal but not every day to ease the bad pain have all over my body. I am worried about being "hooked" dependant on this opiated drug. I have been advised to take this drug more each day by the pain clinic but am worried about the side effects as well. What would you advise.
