In Early November I Had A Crown Placed In My

In early November I had a crown placed in my upper jaw. My gum is still very sore around this crown. I've taken antibiotics for weeks now and still the pain persists. My dentist insists that everything looks fine, but still I have constant pain. What can I do. I've used an antimicrobial rinse and tried neurontin, since I have a compressed nerve in my lower jaw (opposite side of the face). Any advice? I'm tired of hurting.
