Increase In Weight, Tight Feeling In Face, Chest Hurting After Taking Dexamethasone. Side Effect Of Medicine?
My daughter has been taking dexamethasone 4mg since late June. While we were aware of the increase weight gain, her face is very tight feeling and she complaining the her chest is hurting. At times she said that while her chest is hurting she can feel it in her throat. She is on the steroids because the doctor feels she is having side effects from cyberknife treatment (Nov 2011) (radiation necrosis)

It seems that these are all side effects of steroid.
It seems that your daughter might have developed so called moon face due to fluid retention on face and some edema on throat and chest.
Consult your treating doctor and take his advice.
