Infant. Slightly Bumping Back Side Of Head Into Corner Of Bed. No Crying Or Lumps. Anything Serious?

Hi, I was just putting my 9+lbs 5 and a half week old baby back from my bed into his pak'n'play (crib) in the dark and I slightly bumped the right upper back side of his head into the corner of his bed (corner of bed has a plastic rounding, it's not a sharp corner) . There's no bump and he didn't even cry. He's sleeping nicely now. Is there cause for concern and I should bring him to the hospital for a scan to rule out a hematoma?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Do not worry.

You should take him immediately to hospital after a head injury if the kid has

1. Vomiting
2. Seizures,
3. Loss of consciousness
4. Ear and nose bleed

Continue to ask further queries as required.

Hope this helps
