Infant Diagnosed With Bronchiolitis. On Apnea Monitor, Pulmicort, Zithromax. Any Thoughts?

My 5mo old washospitalized for 24hrs due.to chest congestion and wheezing and severe red.throat. his ped.said it was bronciolitis. Rsv test and chest xray were both okay. No temo. He is on ned treatments every 4 hrs around the clock also on pulmicort amd zithromax. He has been out of the hospital 3 days and his chest congestion has gotten worse and he is coughing more. Still no temp. He is EXTREMLY cranky at times. His ped made him a followup appt fpr 2 weeks...should i wait that long? What do you think is wrong with my son? I should also add he is also on an apnea moniter because.he stopped breathing at 6 weeks old due to acid reflux.

Hi,
Thank you for your query.
Watch for the danger signs like decreased feeding, shortness of breath, respiratory difficulty, and bluish discoloration of lips.
And if you fond any one of the above symptoms, I suggest you to consult emergency.
If the child is comfortable, you can continue the medication plan as advised at the time of discharge from the hospital.
